The screen displays caller ID and offers touch-to-call for your phonebook or nuvi's listings. The built-in FM traffic receiver alerts you to upcoming traffic delays and suggests alternate routes. Even includes an FM transmitter that links to your car stereo to hear audio from your phone or the built-in MP3 and audio book player. Text-to-speech technology prompts you to "Turn right on Main Street" instead of "Turn right in 500 feet," so you can keep your eyes on the road. When you do look at the unit, you'll appreciate the 4.3" wide screen that is 50% bigger than the standard 3.5" unit. Little bigger than a pack of cards, Garmin's revolutionary nuvi is a GPS navigator, traveler's reference and picture viewer, all in one. The big, bright screen shows detailed maps and provides automatic routing with turn-by-turn directions. Comes preloaded with street level detail and nearly 6 million points of interest (hotels, restaurants, ATMs, etc. with phone numbers). The nuvi 260W covers the whole US and Canada.
